One of the greatest resources for finding info about new and old Mac Computers is Mactracker. There is both a Mac and a Windows version available for download, as well as an iPhone Application.

If you ever had a question about RAM, max supported OS, type of harddrive etc. Mactracker is the only resource you will ever need! Mactracker is donationware.
