If you are like me and use Microsoft Enourage 2008 with a foreign character set that requires UTF8 encoding, you are most likely to encounter encoding problems along the way. Unfortunately there is no default setting to use UTF8 for the encoding. Instead Entourage tries to determine the encoding from the characters in the mail. If Entourage meets an € sign the mail is sent in UTF8. The easiest way to force Entourage to use UTF8 encoding is to set a white invisible € sign in the signature. Then you are done and no more encoding problems!
