I have been using the WP Thesis template for a while now on my blogs, and I am very satisfied with it. Especially the newly added support for localization. I have a translation of the frontend in faroese and danish. The backend is not translated at the moment. The translation is done for Thesis 1.5.1.
I have for some time run a Wordpress blog supporting three different languages. One good plugin to do this is qTranslate. qTranslate makes creation of multilingual content as easy as working with a single language. The one thing to remember when upgrading Wordpress when using this plugin, is to upgrade the qtranslate plugin first, otherwise you are risking to break the the translation.
Downloads:
The danish localization: da_DK.mo (by Halina Goldstein & Benny Reffeldt Otte)
The faroese localization: fo.mo
Suggestions and corrections for the translation are welcome.

I have just started using Thesis as well (ver. 1.6) for the exact same reasons as you, in developing my new site/blog on WP. Guess we are not the only ones!
What a great theme/framework!
The site needs to work in Danish, and I downloaded the da_DK.mo file you are linking to in your post. It works just fine, however, I have a few Danish corrections, so if you could forward the .PO file to me, I would appreciate that very much. I will send it back to you, of course, when I’m done.
Thank you very much for uploading the .mo file in the first place!
Hi
I will send you the .PO in an e-mail. Looking forward to get the corrections!
